I had my first chance to see 8u play saturday and was very impressed with there level of play and coaching staff.Congradulations on your first tournament win hope u have many more.

To the High School Team formerly 14u Blue, GREAT JOB! You were down in the last game 7 to 3 with about 10 minutes to go and you never stopped playing the game! You came back to tie it up and unfortunately just one play made the difference in the game. You'll get em' back girls. I know that I speak for all the parents when I say that you are all a great group of girls and you definitely played your hearts out for Brittany & Marissa this weekend and it truly showed! Now lets go take care of business on Labor Day!! Thank you to Kaylee, Emily, Melissa & Maggie for helping us out this weekend.

(From the Coaches Corner) SAYS IT ALL Lightning 96 Players and Families - As I sat here tonight thinking about what to say to an incredible group of young ladies that simply played their hearts out all weekend only to be stripped of a title in our last 12U tournament it finally hit me between the eyes this team is larger than words and simple trophies, we have built our team on wonderful families, girls that love to play the game with class and style and the simple fact that we are an amazing, never say die, team! We are not a bunch of individuals spattered with guest players looking to make a mark on the travel ball circuit. When Lightning 96 shows up to play it is Lightning Nation,period!! We win and lose together and we grow together and we certainly have a lot of fun together! And while it hurts to know deep down that we were on the verge of winning another championship it is the rules we agree to play by and we must respect them. The positive comments and accolades you received with the incredible performance on the field and pure class and sportsmanship in the determination of the outcome following the rainout is so much more important than another trophy. This is the Lutz Lightning 96 team and you wear the colors so beautifully! Be proud of yourselves, say thank you to your families for all their support, hold your heads high and never look back. Big disappointing end to today's tournament for the 12U Blue team. We had no doubt you would have brought home 1st Place the way you ladies played this weekend. You were solid!!
